Oh The Food!

The flight was uneventful. The B&B is adorable and has a great privat courtyard with a jacuzzi.
Our host recommended the local Praline Connection for dinner. Oh. My. God. Mel and I shared a combo plate that had gumbo, red beans & rice, greens, cornbread, fried chicken, fried catfish. So good. (I’m hungry just typing this.)
Afterwards we walked around the neighborhood (Marigny Faubourg) and ended up at a local gay watering hole called the Friendly Bar which the bartender described as “the neighborhood’s living room.” Indeed, it was a comfy – if shabby – space. And the beer was cheap!

  1. Has your bellatlantic account expired? I don’t see any of your graphics any more… plus, Karen’s header graphic doesn’t show up for me. When I try to see the images directly, I get a message that the URL /~arietmt doesn’t exist on their servers. 🙁

    Where you be?!
