Yes, I’m 40 today!

So far, it’s been a mixed bag. I only got up an hour ago because I’ve some chest cold thingy since Saturday that attacks every time I’m horizontal. I’ve woken up every morning this week stuffed up and hacking. Today was especially bad. I really felt like shit and would have called off from work if I hadn’t already taken the day off. But, now that I’m sufficiently doped up I’m ready to continue my day.
Mel was up bright and early. She’s already made me a chocolate cake from scratch and the first of several pizza doughs for tonight’s pizza party.
Something else really nice has happened too. The facility Mel works at has finally decided to give up a parrot that was donated to them by a doctor who was formerly affiliated with them. Mel has been campaigning to take this bird home for over a year. It’s happening today! The president of the bird club and I need to go and liberate “Ming of the Moon” from her prison.
