Not ten minutes ago my computer said to me “You’ve got mail!” It was the AOL “You’ve got mail” recording. Trouble is, this is a new laptop and I don’t have AOL or AIM installed. I don’t even have an AOL account anymore. My Hotmail account was open on my browser but there wasn’t any new mail. And why would MSN be using the AOL announcement anyway? Very freaky indeed.

Maybe it was monitoring your snail mail box. Technology is *so* advanced these days.

heh. i actually looked for that .wav file on the ‘Net and downloaded it. that and AIM are the closest i’ll ever get to AOL.
