Too Hot to Move

Spent the day alternating between the air conditioned bedroom and the 87 degree, humid living room. It was definitely too hot for me to be outside in the sun. The puppy is lying on the window sill, the older dog on the floor in front of the fan. The bird is somewhat listless. And poor Mel is at work on the third floor of a nursing home that is not air conditioned. Criminal. It smells so bad in there she calls it the goat farm.

I’m trying to study because my certification exam is scheduled for 7pm tomorrow, but I’m having only marginal success. At one point, I fell asleep after eating some of the ice cream Bombed Empress and I made last night after going out. It was mocha swiss chocolate almond from the Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream book. Who could resist?

I had a temporary cap put on one of my teeth last week. It’s bugging the crap out of me.

That’s all I have to say.

  1. My A/C went out Friday in the 100+ degree heat. Fortunately, I’m an electrician and was able to fix it on Saturday.

I hate heat.

  2. No heat in Texas this week- the flooding and torrential rains are cooling things down. I got about 8 inches today. Of rain, you perverts.

  3. OMG! Heat here too. No a/c. Dying. Send ice-cream. Stop. Dog has the right idea. Stop. Sorry about your tooth. Stop. What are we going to do?

  4. oooh — cold ice cream touching a temporary cap…. ouch!

we could use some damn sun here in Orlando… i’ve got mildew growing everywhere… and i thought it was a tan.

  5. The ice cream sounds yummy. Weather here about the same as Karen’s (90 miles away) but with out the 8 inches.

Temp caps never feel good. Wait until they get the final one in. It will feel better.
